Karen Huger, known from Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Potomac," was found guilty on December 18, 2024, of five out of six charges related to a DUI incident from March of the same year in Potomac, Maryland. The charges included driving under the influence (DUI), negligent driving, failure to control speed to avoid a collision, and failure to notify authorities of an address change. However, she was acquitted on the charge of reckless driving. She faces a potential sentence of up to two years in prison, with her sentencing scheduled for January 29, 2025. Throughout the trial, witness testimony and body camera footage were pivotal, with an emergency medical technician testifying to Huger's apparent intoxication and uncooperative behavior at the scene. Despite attempts by her defense to dismiss the case citing illegal search and seizure, these motions were denied, and the evidence was allowed to be used in court.
