Small Plane Crashes Into Warehouse

On January 2, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in Fullerton, California, where a small plane crashed into a commercial warehouse, resulting in two fatalities and 19 injuries. The crash took place in the 2300 block of Raymer Avenue, near the Fullerton Municipal Airport, around 2:09 p.m. PST.

The aircraft involved was a single-engine Van’s RV-10, an experimental, four-seat plane. The pilot, who was attempting an emergency landing, and his 16-year-old daughter were among those killed. The plane had just taken off from the Fullerton Airport when the pilot reported an issue necessitating an immediate landing.

The building impacted was a furniture manufacturing warehouse, leading to the evacuation of over 100 people. Eleven of the injured were transported to hospitals, while eight received treatment at the scene. The injuries ranged from minor to very severe.

A significant response from local emergency services was mounted, including Fullerton police and fire departments, along with assistance from neighboring cities and agencies. A triage area was established to manage the casualties. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

This incident follows another aviation accident near Fullerton Airport just months prior, which has raised concerns about safety measures in the airport's vicinity. The community and local authorities are now focusing on both immediate response and long-term safety enhancements.

For further details, updates from local news sources and official statements from the investigation bodies are expected.
